Habitat: Inundated and dominated by Typha latifolia and Carex stricta. Located at west end of fen, area is farily diverse, but appears stressed. Dasiphora fruticosa present but dying. Mentha canadensis and Verbena hastata very common. Carex stricta dominated area with many blooming Eutrochium maculatum, Solidago altissima, and S. gigantea plants. Ground drier. Large Larix laricina and medium Populus tremuloides in area. Other common species include Eupatorium perfoliatum, Agrostis gigantea, and Physocarpus opulifolius. Pycnanthemum virginicum and Dasiphora fruticosa also common.
