Large north-south fen; multiple ownser; many arms; large expanses of Carex stricta. Fen elongated and amoeboid with many small armas and large amounts of edge. Oak uplands often inserted intro prairie fen as peninsulas. Oftern large amounts of open water due to beaver flooding. Asjacent to railroad that runs the entire length of the fen. Mildly weedy area on bank of stream; Cornus foemina encroaching heavily. Area dominated by Carex stricta, Phalaris arundinacea, and Agrostis gigantea. Other species include Rosa palustris, Solidago patula, Doellingeria umbellata, and Eutrochium maculatum. Ground moist and more or less flat.
