Habitat: Prairie fen runs along Spring Mill Creek. Edges are wooded with oaks. Horribly overgrown with many large areas that were marked as fen, now dense shrub carr. 250m north of road, 400m west of pedestrian bridge. Only 30m north of Quadrat 15. Similar to last quadrat, but getting more into Cornus and other shrubs. Shrubs getting more dense. More asters than Carex here too, but terrain still has tall tussocks. Ground moist but not wet.
Description: Population - Most abundant aster in area, growing in losse clumps 2-5, about 2-3 clumps per 1m2. More found away from shrubs, 30-70cm tall. Growing on edges or in tussocks.
