Elevation: 252 meters (827ft)
Habitat: Fen curves around east and south portions of the lake. Many "No Trespassing" signs posted. Mostly herbaceous Cyperaceae with shrubs on borders. Actively maintained by The Nature Conservancy. Fay Lake Road borders on east and south side fo fen. 100m north of two-track. Can make out lake 200m northeast. Less abundant Carex here and more Dasiphora fruticosa and Thelypteris palustris with occasional tamarack (alive and dead). Several Schoenoplectus stalks rising. Aspens 10m southwest. Tree density 1 living every 16-25m2.
Description: Population - Clumped, 2-5 individuals per 1m2 area for 30m2. Found on moist soil, near Carex, asters, Cornus, and Theylpteris palustris.
