Elevation: 249 meters (817ft)
Habitat: Fen curves around east and south portions of the lake. Many "No Trespassing" signs posted. Mostly herbaceous Cyperaceae with shrubs on borders. Actively maintained by The Nature Conservancy. Fay Lake Road borders on east and south side fo fen. 25m south of lake near widely placed cedar and tamarack. Dominant vegetation: Rhamnus, Carex, Pycnanthemum virginianum, and Asteraceae. Saplings everywhere, full grown shrubs every 2m2. Shrubs include Toxicodendron vernix, Frangula alnus, Rhamnus, Betula pumila, and Cornus. Ground uneven, moist.
Description: Population - Clumped, not very common, 0-3 per 1m2 for 20m2.
