A railroad (currently used andmaintained), runs almost the entire length. Within 20m on either side of the tracks is almost all herbaceous (weedy but diverse). Further from tracks there are many tamarack trees and shrubs including some autumn olive. Carex, Typha, and Asteraceae sand with shrub encroachment of Toxicodendron vernix, Salix, Betula pumila, and Cornus. 40m west of railroad in southernmost portion of fen, almost directly underneath electrical lines. Ground with small tussocks and wet.
Population - Budding, no flowers, some still basal.
