A railroad (currently used andmaintained), runs almost the entire length. Within 20m on either side of the tracks is almost all herbaceous (weedy but diverse). Further from tracks there are many tamarack trees and shrubs including some autumn olive. 40m to the southwest of the railroad, 125m north of boardwalk. Cyperaceae and Dasiphora fruticosa dominated area with sporadic tree and shrubs (tamarack, Toxicodendron vernix, Cornus). 90m2 area. Even ground with moist to wet soil (grey color).
Population - Not dense, 2 shoots < 20 cm tall per 1m2. Occasional flowers.
