Habitat: Edge of thicket alongside Dry Branch, on open flat by roadside.
Substrate: Moist soil in Grady series.

Description: Inflorescence paniculiform, ca. 4 to 6.5 ft. above the ground. Corollas discoid, their tips cream-colored. Pappus white, fluffy, conspicuous. Involucre and lvs. light green. Lvs., with a whitish midrib, were slightly paler underneath. Their max. length was ca. 10 in. Stems light green to yellowish green; lengthwise, they are lineate or finely ridged.
Occurrence Remarks: A single coarse annual at edge of thicket. Repl. 4. (Pollen Sample No. 241).
