Habitat: Temporary pool now empty but still muddy in low areas, with a few hummocks which are islands at high water. With C. rivularis, C. erythrorhizos, and C. acuminatus. By far the most common species.

Occurrence Remarks: Original ID as Cyperus inflexus Muehl.
