Habitat: In dense herbaceous vegetation in moist fine sand or fine sandy loam in unshaded bottom of minor drainageway, between gentle slopes underlain by Eocene sands of the Reklaw Formation. Area burned during Bastrop Complex Wildfire of September 2011. Occasional.
Reproductive Condition: flowering=early
