Habitat: In cleared valley flat between wooded slope and wooded creekbottom. Associates included Abutilon incanum, Achillea millefolium, Ambrosia psilostachya, Argemone albiflora, Aristida purpurea, Artemisia ludoviciana, Bromus japonicus, Croton monanthogynus, Cynodon dactylon, Eragrostis curtipedicellata, Eryngium leavenworthii, Glandularia bipinnatifida, Justicia pilosella, Lactuca serriola, Opuntia lindheimeri, Physalis viscosa, Prosopis glandulosa, Ratibida columnifera, Rhynchosia texana, Torilis arvensis, Tragia brevispica, Tridens albescens, Verbena halei, Ziziphus obtusifolia. Rare.
Reproductive Condition: flowering=early
