Habitat: In very shallow dry drainage ditch along edge of bladed road through grama grassland on very gently rolling landscape underlain by a mix of Perdiz Conglomerate (a fanglomerate of variable composition) and Quaternary alluvium. Associates included Aristida adscencionis, Bouteloua gracilis. Cespitose; culms almost 1 m tall; local.
Reproductive Condition: flowering=early
