Habitat: In grassland on silty soil on in broad shallow valley on gently rolling landscape underlain by a mix of Perdiz Conglomerate (a fanglomerate of variable composition) and Quaternary alluvium, along ditch near stock tank. Associates included Aristida hamulosa, Bouteloua gracilis, Machaeranthera tanacetifolia, Panicum obtusum. Rare.
Reproductive Condition: flowering=early
