Habitat: In mostly herbaceous wetland vegetation in beaver swamp on soils originally mapped as poorly drained strongly acid loamy Entisols. Associates included Alnus serrulata, Betula nigra, Bidens sp., Boehmeria cylindrica, Cephalanthus occidentalis, Chasmanthium laxum, Dichanthelium ensifolium, Conoclinium coelestinum, Cyperus sp. (29971), Eupatorium capillifolium, E. perfoliatum, Fuirena sp. (29958), Juncus coriaceus, J. effusus, J. validus, Leersia oryzoides, Lonicera japonica, Ludwigia alternifolia, L. leptocarpa, Lycopus americanus, Mikania scandens, Pluchea sp. (29965), Polygonum sagittatum, Rhexia mariana, Salix nigra, Saururus cernuus, Scirpus sp. (29955), Smilax rotundifolia, Solidago spp., Sparganium americanum, Triadenum walteri. Rare.
Reproductive Condition: flowering + fruiting=mid
