Habitat: Common along edge of hackberry woodland along wet-weather stream draining hay meadows and crop fields. Associates include Bromus catharticus, Calyptocarpus vialis, Carex tetrastachya, Celtis laevigata, Ehretia anacua, Funastrum cynanchoides, Galium aparine, Mecardonia procumbens, Parietaria pensylvanica, Solanum ptycanthum, Sonchus asper, Teucrium cubense, Torilis nodosa, Zanthoxylum fagara.
Reproductive Condition: flowering + fruiting=mid
