Navy's Escondido Ranch, near E fenceline, ca. 1.2 airmiles N of center of Rowland Tank (as mapped on topo), ca. 3.2 airmiles E to ENE of ranch HQ complex, ca. 7.5 airmiles ENE of SW corner of county, at N28o05'34.6", W098o41'11.9". Mirasol Creek Quadrangle. Elev. 300 ft.

Habitat: Locally frequent in dried cracked clay along upper margins of stock tank that went dry during prolonged drought. Associates include Glinus radiatus, Eragrostis reptans, Leptochloa fascicularis, Echinochloa colonum, Helenium microcephalum, Phyla nodiflora.
Reproductive Condition: flowering + fruiting=mid
