Habitat: Recovering riparian area, dense Salix thicket w. large Populus, Baccharis, and Prosopis. Erect perennial to 50 cm tall, rooted in or near water. Heads pale reddish-brown. Locally abundant.
Reproductive Condition: fruiting=late
