Locality: United States, Texas, Montgomery, Lake Houston State Park, along and S of FM 1485, 3 mi. E of New Caney, along E side of Peach Creek, along Creek Forks Trail, ca. 100 m S of primitive camping area. Upper to lower stream bank terraces.

Habitat: Mixed hardwood (laurel oak, white oak, water oak, magnolia, sweet gum)-loblolly pine forest grading into river birch riparian woodland. Upper to lower sandy terraces of stream bank. In some places incised by old channels and tributaries. Corollas blue-lavender. Infrequent.
Reproductive Condition: flowering=early
