Locality: Mexico, Sonora, Guaymas, San Carlos, side canyon draining into Arroyo La Pirinola, a broad NW-SE wash due west of Nacapule Canyon, approx 8.5 km N of Cerro Tetas de Cabra.

Habitat: Pools along rocky canyon.
Associated Species: Brahea brandegeei, Ficus palmeri, Mariosousa willardiana, Stenocereus thurberi, Bursera microphylla, Fouquieria macdougalii, Haematoxylum brasiletto, Agave chrysoglossa, Porophyllum pausodynum, Stemodia durantifolia, Melinis repens.
Description: Perennial or robust annual grass, to 0.8 m; locally common.
Occurrence Remarks: Duplicates to ARIZ, USON.
