Locality: United States, Florida, Escambia, Gulf Islands National Seashore, Fort Barrancas & Advanced Redoubt Unit. Woodland Trail (0.5 mi loop) that runs northwest from Visitor Center through turkey oak/slash and sand pine dominated scrub forest and ends near entrance to Unit at Gulf Beach Hwy.

Habitat: Woodland trail that runs through turkey oak/slash and sand pine dominated scrub forest. Soil characteristics: Kureb sand, 0 to 8 percent slopes (7) - very deep, excessviely drained, sandy soil on undulating, low ridges, knolls and old dunes in coastal lowlands. Classified as occurring as a part of the Sand Pine Scrub Ecological Community. Associate plant species: Trichostema dichotomum, Smilax pumila, Chrysoma pauciflosculosa, Quercus myrtifolia, Ceratiola ericoides, Quercus geminata, Polygonella polygama var. polygama, Quercus laevis. Rare.

Description: Callus ca. 1.3 mm, glumes +/- equal, leaves >1 mm wide
